Water & Sewer Rates
The Office of Local Government (OLG) conducts an annual water and sewer rate survey to collect data for its credit review function in the loan programs. It only covers “inside” residential rates but includes the majority of public water and sewer providers in South Carolina.
The results of the annual water and sewer rate survey serve as an invaluable tool. Water and sewer service providers have also found the information useful for planning and evaluation purposes.
The 2017 Rate Survey includes rate information based on 5,000 gallons usage. In the past the survey has provided rate information based on 6,000 gallons. The change is due to a reduction in average usage by the residential consumer.
The annual rate survey is based on the most recent rate information provided by local providers but rates may no longer be current. Also, due to the possibility of errors in individual survey forms or data entry, the OLG does not guarantee the correctness of this survey information. Should any errors be found, please contact the OLG, as we do strive for maximum accuracy.
If a public provider is not shown on the survey and would like to be included, please contact us.
